6 flattened gold nuggets, size approx. 2.5-3.5 mm each, from Elvo Stream Alluvials, total weight appr. 0,10 g.

Elvo stream is one of the most important sites for the search of alluvial gold in the Po Plain. Alluvial gold deposits in fine sediments are located along the stream banks in the municipal territories of Mongrando, Borriana, Cerrione, and Salussola.
Gold is found as minute particles, small nuggets and seldom as grains attached to a quartz matrix. Its average composition is: 93.9 wt% Au, 4.2 wt% Ag, 1.9 wt% other metals (cit. mindat).
