Description

A few tiny specks of gold, barely visible with the naked eye, associated with sulphides from a very rare, ancient german locality in the Black Forest, the Ludwig mine.

It was mined for silver ores until 1857. The mineralization - mainly pyrite, stibnite, silver sulfides and sphalerite is linked to chert-like quartz veins.
