Description
Locality:
Summit Cleft, Weißeck, Murwinkel, Tamsweg District, Salzburg, Austria
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
10.3 × 8.7 × 4.5 cm
Description

A very nice specimen from the 3rd cavern from the famous Summit Cleft. The surface of the fluorites show a good shine - the fluorites were originally covered with calcite which was etched away with acid. The calcite protected the surface of the fluorite from the influence of water etching. With backlight the piece shows predominantly blue and green hues with a slight purple accent at the edges. All sides are crystallized, etched or healed (no fresh fractures). First and third photo with medium LED light as backlit, much better in person!
