Description

The Gasteiner Valley is known for its alpine green fluorite octahedral in Austria. There are several sites where fluorites in different colors (mainly different shades of green), sizes and quantities have been found. This specimen comes from a very old find from the area "Hirschwald". A large fused fluorite octahedron with a diameter of 3.5 cm sits cheekily on matrix that is overgrown with small fluorite octahedral. A really remarkable alpine fluorite!
