Description

A rounded lustrous caramel brown bahianite pebble from the Pico das Almas river the type locality. Bahianite is a very rare aluminium antimonate oxide mineral with the hardness of 9. This specimen is especially interesting because it holds cavities where numerous perfectly formed crystals are well developed.

The exact dimensions are: 8.7 x 5.2 x 3.0 mm.

Acquired in Tucson in 1984 by Dr Gerard Vogel.
