Haywards Heath Show
Haywards Heath Show (16 November 2002)
Driving down the foggy M25 Motorway before dawn this morning we realised that this was our last booked show of 2002.
Haywards Heath show is hosted by the Sussex Mineral and Lapidary Society and is held annually in the Clare Hall in downtown Haywards Heath. It is thought to be one of the UK's main "collector" shows with its main focus on minerals and fossils.

Being run by the SMLS, it is a club show and always offers great hospitality (great buns!) displays/activities and talks for all interested people. This year the show offered stands by Sedgwick Museum Cambridge, the Sidcup Club (Zeolites), Gem polishing, Fluorescent Minerals, Lucky Dip and Gold Panning. With all that it was suprising that anyone had time to look at any minerals!
The Sedgewick Museum has some gorgeous Cumbrian barites.
