Description

Rich white fibrous crystals of chrysotile-lizardite with satin lustre, filling up a fracture in a green coloured serpentinized ultrabasic rock. The fibres are oriented perpendicular to the fracture margins.

Minerals from Cyprus are extremely rare in collections and this specimen was collected at the Troodos massive, by Dr Gerard Vogel in April/1995. Labelled in a box.
