Description

Here we have a novelty set of rough and polished andalusite var chiastolite from Hunan Province, China, precise location unknown. One end of the natural log shaped crystal is polished in order to see the cross pattern. The natural crystal is about 4 x 2.8 x 2.5 cm. The polished section slice is from a different crystals but displays similar markings. The slice measures approximately 3.8 x 3.0 x 1 cm. The back of the slice is not polished. The combined weight of both pieces is 82 grams.
