Description

We know Fluorite, Quartz and Baryte from Berbes – common minerals for the entire region. But have you ever seen Aragonite from Berbes? This is really rare. I know that they are existing, but never before I saw or owned one. The „branches“  grew on a thin plate of matrix. The specimen was nearly impossible to photograph – it is so tridimensional, the branches grew in all directions and in different angles. So I photographed it in three different positions and still it doesn´t do justice to the piece. Although the branches are hard to describe: they are translucent, but they also show a very interesting and beautiful texture.
