Apatite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Warsak, Mohmand Agency, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan
Class:
Single Crystal
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5.5 × 4.2 × 2.6 cm
Description

The specimen consists of one main crystal and one smaller crystals attachted to the left hand side. The crystals are waterclear, clarity of cut glass! The faces are highly lustrous and the termination is sharp! The specimen is not less attractive backside - also lustrous and sharp. The crystals show amazing greenish phantoms - these are needles (in diameter of a hair) of dark green byssolite. This material was always rare and came only from a few clefts. During the last few years no new material came out. It was just luck to get this one from old finds and now you have the option to get a specimen with a start price of 10 Euro. Luster and clarity are much better in person! No significant damages to report.
