Description

Three rhombododecahedral almandine crystals grown in a grey micaschist matrix. Almandine displays a naturally, mildly rough surface, as expected for the natural, non-polished specimens from this paragenesis.
In good conditions and very representative. The officially stated locality in my opinion is wrong, as I think this is possibly Passo del Rombo (Italy).

Former collection Kasper (CH).
