Description

The specimen is an intergrown formation of dioptase revoved from a vug in chrysocolla on quartz that formed it. The dioptase has a thin residue of chrysocolla on two sides that bears witness to the formation habit of this particular piece. The crystals of dioptase are all ingrown with no crystal really free of the mass. The dioptase has a deep emerald green colour.
