Description

Euhedral brown zircon crystal from the Peixe Alkaline Complex in Brazil. Lustre and definition of faces and edges are quite good, it is a floater piece, and shows some groves at the surfaces that are partially filled by material of the matrix. It displays orange fluorescence under long waves and very intense yellow fluorescence under short UV light. Ex Dr. Ernst Burke* collection.
