Description

This is a very fine piece from this famous discovery. I photographed this specimen in 2011 for Robert Brandstätters article about Okorusu mine in Lapis magazine. The specimen come out his personal collection and will come with his personal hand written label. There are several parameters, which make this piece special: it shows excellent luster, the saturation is much better than from average-material and shows exposed main crystals. Also the translucency is very good! You can see an emeral green color in the centers of the crystals, framed with a light almost colorless zoning with touch of blue and finally a concentration of dark purple color at the corners. Along several edges you further will see thin sharp blue zonings.
