Description

Anapaite is a rare mineral that belongs to the phosphate group. It was first discovered in russia in 1902 and is named after the anapa peninsula on the black sea. Anapaite has a characteristic green color, which is due to divalent iron. The phosphate nodules formed in lacustrine sediments in the miocene.
