Description

A beautiful chromium bearing specimen of rich deep purple iowaite.  The specimen's vivid color is due to the chromium impurities.  Iowaite is a member of the hydrotalcite group with a hardness of 1.5.  It has a waxy luster and a soap-like feel.  A nice sized specimen.
