Description

Fine specimen with some greyish tabular heflikite crystals on matrix. Out of a very scandium bearing matrix, where also scandiobabingtonite was investigated. Heflikite is the scandium dominant member of the epidote group and it should be noted that heflikite is always grown together with epidote.

Specimen from type locality. Heflikite is only known from two localities worldwide. Very rare mineral. New mineral from 2023 (IMA No. 2022-139).
