These fabulous epimorphs of goethite coating white anglesite crystals were discovered during mining operations in the Kintore Open Cut in 1989. Some of the anglesite crystals coated in such fashion were over 2 cm long.

This piece features a cluster of such crystals occupying a large open vugh, coated by a light brown velvety layer of goethite on a darker goethite matrix. The contrast is quite dramatic. The goethite also displays stalactitic form on the reverse side. This piece displays well and is undamaged.
