Description

Wildenauerite is a brandnew mineral from the famous Hagendorf Pegmatite. Wildenauerite is related to Sschoonerite, Schmidite and Wilhelmgümbelite - an oxidized form of Schoonerite with Fe2+  replaced by Fe3+.

Wildenauerite shows red-brown, lathlike crystals on altered Zwieselite  matrix.

Formula: Zn(Fe3+,Mn2+)2MnFe3+(PO4)3(OH)3(H2O)6·2H2O
 

 

Without analytic it is not possible to differ between the minerals of the "schoonerite group".
