Description

Kreuzberg at Pleystein is a very famous and historic locality in Bavaria, Germany. Some of the worlds best strengite specimen were found there and made this locality to a "holy grail" for all phosphate collectors.

All specimen come from a rock, called Kreuzberg, in the center of the small bavarian village, Pleystein. This rock is now a national geological monument and no further finds are possible.

This specimen was collected in the 1950s and shows fantastic deep purple crystals of strengite up to 8 mm across in several vugs and is truly an outstanding specimen from this famous locale.
