Here is a great picture of Australian collector/miner Dehne MacLaughlin, taken in 1966 at Allies Mine, Deepwater, NSW, Australia. Dehne is showing off some quartz crystals recently collected.
I have known Dehne since 2001 and since 2009 he has been running the azurite specimen mining operation at Malbunka in wilds of the Northern Territory in his country.
The azurite (and some malachite) specimens have a very distinctive disc-like "sun" habit and the blue is striking against the pale cream/white kaolin matrix.
